ABOUT THE MATE IMPERIAL GOURD: Calabash mate gourds are the more traditional gourds to drink yerba mate. These gourds come from a calabash called Lagenaria that has been dried and hallowed for use. Carefully wrapped on the outside with natural leather, and topped with a wide, hand engraved alpaca ring.

ABOUT THE STRAW (also called BOMBILLA):  Are one of the most crucial aspects of drinking mate, based on the metal they are made, the experience you will have. Alpaca straws are considered the highest quality you can get, based on the fact alpaca offers a high degree of purity and the absence of porosity, they are resistant, durable and do not alter the taste of yerba mate because they don’t transfer as much heat as straws made with other type of metals.
